How to read the correct category-wise cut-off

1. Confirm the exact recruitment, advertisement, paper, subject, stream or trade.
2. Choose the correct area table: Non-Scheduled/NTSP or Scheduled/TSP, where the document separates them.
3. Find the main reservation category and then the applicable sub-category such as General, Female, Widow, Divorced, Ex-serviceman, sportsperson or disability group.
4. Check whether the PDF is provisional, revised, final, List-2 or a corrigendum and note its release date.
5. Read symbols such as NA, blank or dash only as the official document explains them; do not convert them into a guessed zero.
6. If two documents appear relevant, use the later record only for the categories or stage that its heading and order expressly cover.

Cut-off marks are not one universal pass mark. They can vary by recruitment stage, area, category, sub-category, department, education stream, subject, shift or trade. Normalisation, deleted questions or a later correction can also produce decimal values.
