The paper code is important because a similarly named examination can have more than one master question paper. Compare the examination name, exam date, subject or shift and code together. Do not use a PDF forwarded through a messaging group when its title or code does not match the candidate’s paper.

Primary and final answer key difference

A primary answer key is the board’s first published key. RSSB may allow objections against that stage for a limited period and may ask for a fee and supporting reference for each challenged question. After reviewing accepted objections, the board can change an option, accept more than one option or delete a question. The final answer key records the board’s decision after that review and is used for evaluation. A final key is not a new objection window.

The latest documents covered by this article are primary answer keys. The notified objection period is now closed. Candidates should monitor the official section for a final answer key; until that appears, the primary PDF remains provisional and should not be described as the final evaluation key.

How to download and verify the correct PDF

1. Open the official RSSB Answer Key section from the link above.
2. Select the year and exact recruitment name printed on the admit card or master question paper.
3. Choose the latest applicable stage: primary, final or amended final.
4. Match the paper, subject, date, shift and master question-paper code before downloading.
5. Save the PDF with a clear filename and keep the earlier key separately if you need to compare changes.

To check responses, place the master question paper, the candidate’s recorded responses or OMR copy and the matching official key together. Work question by question and note any deleted question exactly as shown in the final PDF. Use only the marking rule stated in the applicable recruitment notification or exam scheme; this article does not assume that every RSSB examination has the same marks or negative-marking formula.

Objection status and safe next step

The objection period connected with the primary-key stage ended by 29 July 2026. This is an archive date, not an active application link. Do not send money, documents, OTPs or SSO credentials to anyone claiming that a closed objection can still be filed outside the official RSSB process.

After an answer key, RSSB may publish a result, cut-off, score card, physical-test schedule, skill-test schedule or document-verification notice depending on the recruitment.
